Job Description
* The project involves modification to a fuel gas supply piping for a compressor to comply with the arrangement recommended in BS EN ISO 21789.
* The piping stress engineer is responsible for performing stress analysis of critical piping systems (using CAESAR II analysis software), producing stress isometrics, and writing a stress analysis report.
Your Profile
If you possess the following qualifications and experience, we look forward to hearing from you:
* MEng / BEng / HNC / HND in Mechanical and/or Piping Engineering.
* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng, IEng).
* Demonstrable experience as a Piping Stress Engineer.
* Good knowledge of piping engineering and design.
* Experience performing piping stress analysis using Caesar II software.
* Experience with the application of piping design to ASME and BS EN ISO standards.
* Experience with the application of piping design to IGEM/TD/13 and IGEM/TD/12 standards.
* Experience in producing and contributing to technical specifications, basis of design, risk assessments, labour estimates, scopes of work, calculations, stress reports, drawings, and schedules.
* Experience working with Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and Pressure Equipment Safety Regulations (PESR) requirements.
* Strong planning and organisational skills, understanding dependencies within the mechanical and piping disciplines.
* A 'one time right' mentality.
* Strong understanding of engineering change control procedures.
* Ability to develop and effectively present design packages that meet project scope.
* Ability to meet UK security clearance requirements (SC clearance preferable).
