Support Worker – 2:1 Support *female only (Part Time – 20 Hours)

Post: Support Worker - Ormiston

Base: The Action Group, The Prentice Centre, Edinburgh (or regional base as set by line manager)

Line Managed by: Practice and Wellbeing Leader

Salary : Unqualified - £27,.61 -£27,.01 per annum pro rata. Qualified- £27,.01 - £28,.07 per annum pro rata Casual rate, £13.45 per hour. Sleepover rate (if applicable) £.60 per night.

Hours: Part-time to be discussed with the post holder.

Special Requirements: Female only.* Exempt under The Equality Act Schedule 9, Part 1. Male Support Workers are welcome to apply to any of our other services.

Driving License & Vehicle Required.

We are looking for Support Workers to join our team in a unique 2:1 support role, part-time, to provide support in Ormiston, including sleepover shifts. The role involves supporting a woman who uses a wheelchair and has access to her own mobility vehicle. Ormiston is accessible via the bus, which runs daily. The person we support also has a pet rabbit, so part of the role will include assisting them with its care and well-being. Working with someone who loves going out and about, going out in the car, going to events, shopping, or just having a hot chocolate out, doing arts and crafts, and looking after her pet bunny rabbit.

This position will involve working as the second member of staff within 2:1 support arrangements, providing additional support to individuals across services within the local area. The role will involve travelling between locations to support different people as required.

This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week.

Please note: Due to visa restrictions and our shift requirements, candidates on restricted visas may be offered a maximum of 15 hours per week.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship
