About WSAPC
West Sussex Alternative Provision College (WSAPC) is an educational establishment based across the county on seven separate sites, providing education for pupils whom are permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion or too ill to attend school. Our ethos is to provide FOCUS (Future, Opportunities:, Curriculum, Us, School) for our pupils to re-engage them in their learning and support re-integration to mainstream provision.
What we are looking for:
West Sussex Alternative Provision College are seeking to appoint appropriate individuals to support our work across West Sussex secondary schools. The successful candidate will work with children, schools, and families to provide support and guidance to enable children to make positive choices to enable them to be successful in their mainstream school.
This an exciting opportunity that is open to an individual who has excellent communication skills, a solution focused approach, enjoys working with children and supporting a multi-agency holistic approach to improve the lives of some of the most disadvantaged children in West Sussex.
Job Details
We are looking for an individual who is able to work independently, required to travel to allocated schools throughout the week and provide a mixture of 1:1 intervention as well as guidance and support to schools to find strategies and solutions that help set children on the correct path to success. A valid driving license and access to a car is essential for this role, as you will be expected to travel to other sites.

What You Need to Succeed
You will have:
* Maths and English GCSE or Equivalent Grade C or above
* A good standard of education across a range of subjects
* Excellent numeracy/literacy skills – equivalent to NVQ Level 2 in English & Maths
