The role focuses on two girls aged 4 and 10 and offers an exciting opportunity for a Governess who thrives on intellectual stimulation, creativity, and educational enrichment. This is a fully staffed household and a live-out position. The mother works from home, so the role will involve a natural blend of shared care and sole charge. The family is seeking someone who brings a fresh perspective, new ideas, and a proactive approach to supporting the girls’ development beyond their current academic and extracurricular activities. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for all traditional governess duties, with a strong emphasis on education. This includes nurturing curiosity, encouraging independent thinking, supporting academic progress, and introducing enriching activities that ignite imagination and creativity. A musical background would be highly valued, as would a creative, forward-thinking mindset and the ability to think outside the box. The family travels frequently during school holidays and requires the Governess to accompany them when needed. Travel will mainly be to the United States and France during winter breaks. Plenty of notice will be provided in advance. This is a relaxed and informal household environment; however, the family places great importance on professionalism, presentation, discretion, and cultural sensitivity.
