Are you a team worker with the ability to use your own initiative? If the answer is yes, then we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated AO Administration Officer to join our encouraging and welcoming team of dedicated military and civilian healthcare professionals and administrative staff working within Sir John Moore Barracks, Winchester. The vacant post is a full-time position working 37 hours per week. Part-time candidates will be considered but due to service delivery requirements it must be on a job share basis as full-time hours need to be covered. Does this sound like the role for you? Person specification Main details of the role include but are not limited to: Work as part of the Administration Team at the medical centre and physiotherapy department (physio dept), to be responsible for all administrative procedures within the Medical Centre, providing a welcoming and efficient front of house service to all Population at Risk (PAR). Run reception, including answering email/telephones, booking appointments, arriving patients, responding to queries, and directing patients. Create all new clinics on Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP) as required. Register new patients including the creation of new records for new entry, annotating medicals onto Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP), historical vaccinations and blood groups when provided. This is a Fixed-term Appointment as a AO Administration Officer in the Sir John Moore Barracks, Winchester. Your responsibilities will be as described in this job advert. The reason why you are appointed for a fixed period is due to a short term business need. This post will therefore end on 18/12/2026. You should be aware that when your Fixed-term Appointment at MOD comes to an end, arrangements will be made in line with the FTA policy.
