The Cost Management team in the North East is expanding due to increased client demand. We are looking for aspiring and current Cost Managers to join an innovative and dynamic team, working on industry‑leading infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to work with high‑profile clients, develop consultancy skills and diversify sector experience. We support hybrid working and consider part‑time applications.
Job Objectives
Working as a Cost Manager at Turner & Townsend you will manage project cost performance, deliver value engineering, and support contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
* Administer a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
* Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.
* Pro‑actively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely and correct applications.
* Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
* Manage contract change effectively, ensuring projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.
* Drive improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
Qualifications
* Ideally degree‑qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
* Ideally hold or be working towards an appropriate professional body membership or equivalent.
* Contract management experience (NEC3, Option C preferred).
