Job Title: Senior / Principal Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services) Location: Norwich (Hybrid Working Available)Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + BenefitsAbout the Company We are a well-established and growing multidisciplinary consultancy based in Norwich, offering integrated expertise across Building Services (MEP), Civil Engineering, and Architecture. Our collaborative and design-led approach enables us to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions across a wide variety of complex and large-scale developments.As part of our continued growth, we are looking to strengthen our Building Services team with the appointment of a Senior / Principal Mechanical Design Engineer.The Role This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to take on a senior role within a collaborative MEP team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical designs while supporting project leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to client relationships.The role offers a balance between technical delivery, project leadership, and team development, with clear progression opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the mechanical design of Building Services systems across a range of projectsDeliver technically robust solutions from concept through to detailed designTake ownership of project elements, ensuring delivery on time and within budgetSupport and mentor junior engineers and techniciansCollaborate closely with electrical, civil, and architectural teams on multidisciplinary schemesAttend client meetings and contribute to maintaining strong relationshipsEnsure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practiceContribute to continuous improvement and innovation across the teamAbout YouProven experience in a Building Services / MEP consultancy environmentStrong background in mechanical design (HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation systems)Experience working on a range of project types and valuesAbility to manage workload independently and contribute to project deliveryStrong communication and collaboration skillsExperience mentoring or supporting junior team members (especially at Principal level)Chartered status (or working towards) is desirableWhat We Offer We are a flexible and people-focused organisation, offering:Hybrid workingFlexible start and finish times to support work-life balanceA strong emphasis on employee wellbeingA collaborative and supportive working cultureClear progression opportunities within a growing businessCompetitive salary of £60,000 - £75,000 + benefitsWhy Join Us?
