Requirements
Must have:
- Good grounding in AWS, including core services like EC2, RDS, S3, and load balancers - Hands-on experience with Docker and ideally some exposure to Kubernetes - Experience with or contributions to CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket preferred, but any experience counts) - Proficiency in Python, comfortable reading, writing, and debugging - Familiarity with Linux command line and basic system administration - Understanding of security principles, including least-privilege access and secrets management - Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana or CloudWatch - Strong communication skills to explain work, ask questions, and write documentation clearly Nice to have: - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation) - Familiarity with log aggregation, tracing, or APM tools - Awareness of AWS cost optimization - Interest in GIS, geospatial data, or the property/planning industry
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside our Senior DevOps Engineer to scale the underlying infrastructure - Build and maintain infrastructure on AWS using CDK in Python - Work with containerized workloads running on Docker and Kubernetes - Help build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Bitbucket - Analyze slow systems through Grafana dashboards and CloudWatch metrics - Utilize a full spread of AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, and load balancers - Maintain good documentation for team knowledge sharing and process clarity
