Job Description: Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer Retail Assistant to join our team. The Volunteer Retail Assistant will support the daily functions of our retail environment, engage with customers, and assist in managing volunteer activities. Duties Assist in the day-to-day operations of the retail space, including inventory management and merchandising. Engage with customers to provide exceptional service and enhance their shopping experience. Support volunteer management by coordinating schedules and training new volunteers. Utilize Salesforce and Raiser's Edge for tracking customer interactions and managing donor relations. Participate in campus recruitment efforts to attract new volunteers and staff. Conduct training sessions for volunteers on retail procedures and best practices. Oversee social media management to promote events and engage the community. Lead public speaking initiatives at community events to raise awareness about our mission. Qualifications Experience in volunteer management or supervising roles is preferred. Familiarity with Salesforce and Raiser's Edge is a plus. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide volunteers. Excellent public speaking skills for engaging with diverse audiences. Background in social work or community service is advantageous. Knowledge of training and development principles to effectively onboard new team members. Proficiency in social media management to enhance outreach efforts.
