About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated Commis Apprentice Chef to join our talented kitchen brigade. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to learn the craft of cookery in a professional, luxury environment while gaining a work-based qualification.
If you’re aged 16–24, you can earn a full-time salary while working towards an industry-recognised qualification, supported by experienced chefs and mentors who will guide you every step of the way. Candidates over 25 are also welcome to apply—training is available through a dedicated training agreement.
Your first three months will focus on learning how the kitchen operates, understanding our standards, and getting to know your team and mentor. From there, you’ll officially enrol in our Apprenticeship Programme, where you’ll learn how to link your hands-on experience to your qualification and progress towards becoming a skilled chef.
Expect to be part of a busy, creative environment where no two days are the same—you’ll assist with preparation, service, and menu support across our resort’s restaurants and event spaces.
Key responsibilities
* Assisting in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes
* Preparing ingredients including vegetables, meats, and fish
* Supporting senior chefs during busy service periods
* Helping with deliveries, restocking, and stock rotation
* Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the kitchen
* Learning and applying best practices in food safety and kitchen organisation
