What Our Trade Counter Assistants Do:
* Work closely with the Branch Manager and Branch Supervisor in day-to-day branch operations, leading by example.
* Handle trade counter sales to meet sales targets, confidently communicating product knowledge to customers.
* Provide exceptional customer service and support to both new and existing customers.
* Pick, load, and deliver products to customers using Eurocell's 3.5-tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans.
* Plan routes, ensure safe driving, and maintain the cleanliness of company vehicles.
* Support the Branch Manager with timely completion of actions and activities.
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and company policies.
* Maintain high standards in customer service, operational procedures, and sales targets.
* Develop and sustain positive customer relationships to support sales objectives.
* Assist in branch operations and support colleagues as needed.
* Maintain branch standards, including warehouse and stock management, front-of-house cleanliness, and point of sale presentation.
We seek individuals with passion and energy to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business goals. A proactive, customer-focused approach, confidence in engaging with customers, and a commercial mindset to maximize sales and margins are essential. Good organisational skills, IT proficiency (including MS Office and industry software like SAP), and a full valid driving license are required. An FLT license and experience in stocktaking or similar roles in trade, builders merchants, retail, glazing, or uPVC environments are advantageous.
Hours and Compensation:
* 44 hours per week, permanent role, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm, with a Saturday rota (8:00 am - 12:00 pm).
* Basic salary of £27,936 per year, with potential total earnings up to £31,536 including bonuses.
