Together with industry, we are creating a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.

The role can be based in Wokingham or Warwick. Hybrid working arrangements are available – a mix of office and home.

Key Accountabilities

The Network Planning and Analysis Lead will manage key works from the Transmission Acceleration Project (TAP) report and support the End‑to‑End Transformation Project (E2E). * Develop NESO processes to facilitate new flexible rules in the SQSS while ensuring security of supply remains the primary consideration.
* Coordinate information exchange between Day Ahead Strategy teams and National Planning teams regarding margin analysis.
* Implement constraint costing methodologies for long‑term project design.
* Present key information to stakeholders such as the SAR management team, TOs, Ofgem, and DESNZ.
* Maintain project plans, including timelines and milestones, to map a clear roadmap for the project’s progression.

About You

* A degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
* Passionate about the net‑zero drive and the significance of system access reform.
* Experience in the power supply industry, ideally in a network planning role within NESO or a transmission/distribution owning organisation.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting information.
* Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Firm understanding of the challenges faced by network planning functions of System Operations.
* Experience with outage planning tools such as OLTA and eNAMS would be beneficial.

A competitive salary of £61,000 – £75,000, dependent on experience and capability. In addition:

* Bonus based on company performance.
* 26 days annual leave.
* Competitive contributory pension scheme – double match up to 12% of your contribution.
* Annual enrolment in the NESO Savings Plan – 50% matching on savings of £20–£500 per month.

Benefits

* Flexible bank holidays & holiday trading.
* Additional birthday day off.
* Cycle to work scheme, retail & gym discounts.
* Private medical insurance, critical illness insurance, and personal accident insurance.
