About Us:
We provide Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) designs for urban & rural roads, in addition to dual carriageway & motorways anywhere in the UK using the latest industry software.
As well as specialising in TTM design, we also provide Vehicle Swept Path Analysis, Consultancy, RRRAP Assessments, BIM/ 3D design and traffic modelling.
About the role of Trainee CAD Designer:
As a Trainee Temporary Traffic Management Designer, you will use an array of the latest software available in the industry, to the highest level from 2D street works to 3D BIM designs on high-speed dual carriageways.
You will be responsible for designing these projects in line with regulations and reporting to our Design supervisor. Other duties will include:
9. Developing an understanding of the sector through observation and working closely with your mentor
10. Producing and designing scaled and schematic temporary traffic management drawings
11. Assisting with design modifications to facilitate operations
12. Making sure all temporary traffic management drawings are in accordance with guidelines
13. Ensuring all paperwork is up to date
14. Maintaining CAD models, drawings and associated files
15. Working with Lead Designers to improve skills in BricsCAD and learning how to keep a consistent high standard of final presentation of temporary traffic management drawings
16. Receiving continual Health & Safety and Lantra approved training to help develop and keep up to date your knowledge and experience in temporary traffic management

Essential Attributes for a Trainee CAD Designer:
17. Driving license or taking driving lessons – road knowledge/ awareness is paramount, and you will be required to travel as part of your placement
18. Excellent IT skills
19. Excellent level of written and spoken English
20. Interest in AutoCad or similar packages
21. Excellent communication skills in dealing with clients and colleagues
22. High level of accuracy
23. Analytical skills
24. Creative flair
25. Able to generate ideas and put them into practice
26. Able to work in a small team and add value by being a team player
