Senior Health Care Support Worker - Community
The opportunity has arisen for a Senior HCSW to support children with complex health care needs.
You will work in the community, at home, or at school to provide practical nursing care for children with specific healthcare needs and other children presenting with complex healthcare conditions, including life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. The post holder should be caring, compassionate, committed, and ambitious. Ability to work independently and within a small team is essential. The role involves mainly unsocial hours, including shifts during days and nights.
Depending on experience, you may be offered to start at band 3 and progress to band 4 upon achieving competency.
Main Duties
1. Deliver individualized care to children with complex needs under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and support the wider healthcare team.
2. Work independently and as part of a small team, mainly during unsociable hours and night shifts.
3. Experience caring for a child with a long-term care package in the community is desirable, but full training will be provided.
4. Welsh language skills are desirable; applications from Welsh and English speakers are equally welcome.
