Medical Secretary – Temp to Perm

Location: Marylebone

Contract Type: Temp to Perm

Annual Salary: £35,000 – £37,000 (Temp hourly rate pro rata)

Working Pattern: Full Time

Our client, a prestigious private healthcare clinic in the heart of London, is looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to join their administrative team. This role supports a dedicated group of medical professionals and contributes to a high‑quality patient experience.


About the Role

As a key member of the administrative team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth clinical operations.


Responsibilities

* Welcoming Patients: Greet patients, manage check‑out at the end of appointments.
* Patient Registration: Register patients and maintain accurate records.
* Diary Management: Coordinate clinical diaries and appointments to ensure seamless patient flow.
* Inbox Management: Handle the practice inbox and respond to patient inquiries promptly and professionally.
* Administrative Support: Draft and send clinical correspondence, referral letters, and reports.
* Invoicing: Raise invoices and process payments accurately.
* Confidentiality: Maintain confidential patient records in line with regulatory standards.
* Liaison: Communicate effectively with clinicians, external partners, and patients as needed.
* Process Improvement: Support continuous improvement of administrative processes.


What We're Looking For

* Experience: Previous role in a Front of House or medical secretarial position in a private healthcare setting.
* Medical Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical workflows.
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication with a warm yet professional demeanor.
* Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and ability to juggle competing priorities.
* Tech Savvy: Confidence using digital systems; experience with Semble or similar practice management software is a plus.
* Mental Health Familiarity: Experience with mental health services is preferred, with full training provided.
* Patient Focus: Genuine commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience.
