All about the role:
Frogwell Primary School and Complex Needs Resource Base is seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and reflective Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a high-quality classroom practitioner who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to ensuring that all pupils make strong academic, social and personal progress.
The successful candidate will:
* Carry out the professional duties of a teacher in line with the School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD) and Teachers Standards (2012)
* Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
* Create a nurturing, inclusive and well-managed learning environment where pupils thrive
* Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and support reminder strong pupil progress
* Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and high expectations for all pupils
* Take responsibility for the learning, pastoral care and development of pupils
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, parents/carers and external agencies
* Contribute positively to the wider life, ethos and vision of the school
There may be opportunities to take responsibility for a curriculum subject or key area of school life, depending on experience and school priorities.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
* Evidence of successful primary teaching to a high standard
* Secure subject knowledge across the primary curriculum, including early reading and phonics
* A strong understanding of assessment for learning and inclusive practice, including SEND
* A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
* High expectations for pupils learning, behaviour and personal development
* A reflective approach to practice and a commitment to ongoing professional development
* The ability to work effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative team
Experience across a range of primary year groups, subject leadership, or training in areas such as restorative practice or de-escalation strategies would be welcomed.
