GSL Education are seeking a motivated and skilled Teacher of Design & Technology to join a creative and supportive school in Lincolnshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who can deliver practical, engaging lessons and help students develop confidence in designing, making, and evaluating products.
In this role of Design and TechnologyTeacher, you will:
* Plan and deliver purposeful lessons across key areas of Design & Technology, such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering (depending on school requirements).
* Teach practical skills safely, ensuring pupils use tools, machinery, and materials correctly.
* Support students in designing and creating functional, well-crafted projects as part of KS3–KS5 learning.
* Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and independent thinking in a hands-on learning environment.
* Assess, record, and monitor student progress to support academic development.
* Maintain safe workshop practices and uphold high standards of behaviour and classroom organisation.
What You’ll Bring as a Design & Technology Teacher:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* Strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology and confidence in teaching practical skills.
* Previous experience teaching D&T within a school setting.
* A proactive, creative approach to engaging students in practical and theoretical learning.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
