STS is a business of £ million turnover and we are proud to announce we are recruiting a Sales Director for our Aqualytix business.

Aqualytix is a vibrant, market-leading business operating in the Legionella control and compliance sector, with a strong track record of sustained growth and clear ambitions to continue this momentum.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Sales Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the company’s growth strategy, driving revenue, strengthening key client relationships, and positioning Aqualytix as the partner of choice within regulated, high-risk environments.

This role is responsible for leading the commercial strategy and enabling the business to win, retain and grow customers while maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and compliance integrity. The successful candidate will bring deep market expertise, strong commercial acumen, and strategic leadership capability to scale a high-growth business and support its continued expansion.

Some of your key responsibilities include: -

Revenue Delivery & Growth

  • Own and deliver ambitious sales, revenue and margin targets across the private water hygiene portfolio.
  • Drive disciplined pipeline management, forecasting accuracy and performance rhythm in a challenging, results‑driven environment.
  • Sales & Commercial Strategy (Acquisition‑Led Growth)

  • Develop and execute a multi‑year sales strategy that supports annual acquisitions, enabling rapid commercial integration while protecting customer relationships and entrepreneurial strengths.
  • Translate Group growth ambitions into clear go‑to‑market priorities, sector focus, pricing discipline and proposition development.
  • Leadership & Coaching Culture

  • Lead, coach and develop senior sales leaders and wider sales teams, role‑modelling a coaching‑led leadership style that builds capability, resilience and engagement.
  • Create clarity on expectations and standards, bringing teams with you through stretch targets and periods of sustained pressure.
  • Performance Management in Tough Conditions

  • Establish and maintain a high‑performance sales culture where delivery against targets is non‑negotiable.
  • Intervene decisively where performance is off‑track, holding teams to account while maintaining fairness, trust and morale.
  • Customer & Market Leadership

  • Build and maintain senior‑level customer relationships across key sectors, positioning the business as a trusted partner in water hygiene and compliance‑critical services.
  • Use market and customer insight to inform sales strategy, acquisition integration and future growth opportunities.
  • Cross‑Business Influence

  • Work closely with Operations, Finance, HR and Integration teams to ensure commercial commitments are realistic, scalable and safely deliverable.
  • Influence Group stakeholders and acquired business leaders to align behind shared commercial goals and ways of working.

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

    In order to excel in this role, you will bring significant experience in a senior sales or commercial leadership position within BB services, ideally across utilities-adjacent, infrastructure, facilities, or compliance-led environments. You will have a strong track record of delivering sustained revenue growth in performance-critical settings.

    You will be experienced in operating within multi-business or acquisition-led environments, with the ability to integrate teams and approaches effectively. A coaching-led leadership style is essential, with a clear focus on building and maintaining high-performing teams.

    You will also be a credible senior influencer, confident in constructively challenging stakeholders where needed. Strong commercial acumen is key, supported by the effective use of data, forecasting, and performance insight to drive decision-making.
