We’re looking for a compassionate and committed Individual Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chelmsford.

What the role involves:
* Providing personalised support during lessons, play, and transitions
* Helping the pupil develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning
* Working closely with the SENCO and class teacher to follow tailored strategies
* Supporting emotional regulation and social interaction in a calm, positive way
* Being a bridge between school, family, and outside professionals
What we’re looking for:
* Experience working with children with SEN (autism, ADHD, communication needs, or similar)
* A calm, patient approach with a big heart and a listening ear
* Confidence using a range of support strategies to promote learning and positive behaviour
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
