Interim Finance Manager

We are working with a growing business in Cornwall to recruit an experienced Interim Finance Manager for an initial 3-month contract. This is a hands-on role covering the full finance function and will report directly to the Managing Director.
The Role
As the Interim Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day financial operations - from transactional processing to management reporting. You’ll provide clarity, stability, and commercial insight during a key period for the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee transactional finance, including accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations
* Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for the MD
* Support cashflow forecasting and budgeting
* Ensure financial controls and processes are followed and improved where necessary
* Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and other stakeholders as needed
* Support the wider team with ad hoc financial analysis and advice
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in a similar finance management role
* Strong hands-on skills across the full finance function
* Ability to work independently and communicate confidently with leadership
* Available at short notice or immediately
This role would suit Finance Manager, Senior Finance Manager, Accountant, Company Accountant, Management Accountants, Assistant Financial Controller, Group Accountant, Qualified Accountant and Financial Controller.
This would suit candidates looking for short fixed term contracts and temporary placements.
The role would be commutable from Newquay, Truro, St Austell, Bodmin, Wadebridge, Padstow, Redruth, Camborne, Liskeard.
