Junior Sales Engineer
Altera Recruitment Group is representing a global organisation within the sustainable energy and power generation sector in their search for a Junior Sales Engineer based in Stafford .
The successful Sales Engineer will play a key role in developing new business opportunities across renewable and natural gas markets, supporting the full sales cycle, and contributing to the companys long-term commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities of a Junior Sales Engineer:
Support the management of the complete sales process from prospecting through to contract negotiation and close.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key markets, including biomethane, biogas, and natural gas sectors.
Conduct feasibility studies and prepare commercial proposals tailored to customer requirements.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential projects to achieve short- and mid-term sales targets.
Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and networking opportunities to strengthen market presence and relationships.
Candidate Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering (or related discipline).
12 years of experience in technical sales within the energy, cogeneration, or renewable sector.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Proactive, results-driven, and adaptable, with a passion for sustainable technologies.
Willingness to travel as required across the UK and occasionally abroad.
Whats on Offer:
£40,000 £45,000 per annum, depending on experience and suitability.
A company car will be allocated.
To be included and refined based on experience potentially sales-based for commercially focused profiles or linked to non-sales KPIs for more technical candidates.
Standard office hours, with flexibility depending on customer and site commitments.
Regular travel to customer sites and meetings will form a key part of the role; this is expected for anyone pursuing a career in sales.
Some flexibility for hybrid working will be offered; however, as the company has made a significant investment in its office facilities, there is a strong emphasis on maintaining an engaged office culture. The role will therefore primarily be office- and site-based.
