Our client is an independent transport planning and highway design consultancy based in Central London, specialising in development planning work across the UK.
They are currently looking to recruit a Client-Facing Senior Highway Engineer for their busy head office in Central London.
Key skills and experience include:
* Ability to develop designs in AutoCAD and Vehicle Tracking
* Experience working with Microsoft Office and AutoDesk platforms
* Experience in designing detailed packages for highway projects
Desirable skills:
* Experience with S278/S38 processes with London authorities
* Civils 3D experience
* Understanding of the planning process
Your main duties will involve supporting the Infrastructure team, providing wider support across the business, and mentoring/receiving support from experienced Highway Engineers, Engineers, Assistant Engineers, and CAD Technicians.
Key competencies:
* Client-facing abilities
* Knowledge of highways, drainage, and levels design
* Preparation of drawings in AutoCAD
* Document management and drawing issuance
* Supporting Engineering Leads in maintaining CAD standards and best practices
Requirements to succeed:
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, preferably Civil 3D or similar 3D software
* Knowledge of highway and level design
* Confidence in client interactions
* Familiarity with British Standards/Codes of Practice
* Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines
