To perform a variety of support duties within the medicines supply chain. These include stock receipt, stock counting & ordering (top-ups), medicines order assembly, and distribution. Stock control procedures and stocktaking. There are no line management responsibilities.
All duties are performed working to procedures, mostly under direct supervision. The jobholder will work as a member of a team of Support Workers. Although duties are generally rostered across the team, there may be changes in response to urgent demand, service cover etc. Working to relevant SOPs and undertaking a GPhC accredited Level 2 qualification Deal with returned goods from customers and process paperwork according to SOPs.
Carry out routine stock control procedures. Ensure stock is located under correct storage conditions and continuous evaluation of stock levels, stock rotation and expiry dates is undertaken Maintenance of work areas and good housekeeping in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
