With a strong surgical caseload, excellent clinical support and a structured 4-day week, this role offers the ideal balance between career progression and quality of life. About the Practice This RCVS-accredited teaching hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities and is supported by a team of experienced Veterinary Surgeons, including Advanced Veterinary Practitioners across a range of disciplines. The collaborative nature of the team allows for excellent clinical support, case discussion and ongoing professional development. The Role This position is ideal for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with strong soft tissue surgical skills who enjoys managing a varied surgical caseload and is keen to continue developing clinically. You'll be joining a supportive and highly skilled team with access to excellent facilities and a diverse range of surgical cases. Work-Life Balance & Rota This practice places genuine emphasis on sustainable workloads and maintaining an excellent work-life balance. Full-time position with a fixed 4-day working week • Fixed day off each week • 6 Saturday day shifts per year (8:30am–5:00pm) • Equal share of consulting, operating, support and on-call duties • Fixed night shift every other week • 6 weekends per year • One bank holiday per year • On-call duties until 11:00pm only • Overnight period (11:00pm–8:00am) restricted to inpatient care only The structured rota allows for excellent continuity of care while ensuring clinicians have predictable time away from work.
