This is an excellent opportunity for a Court of Protection Solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded team based in Shrewsbury, working on meaningful, sensitive matters for vulnerable clients.
You’ll be stepping into a role where the work is already there. You’ll take over an existing caseload, with hands-on support available as you settle in, while also being encouraged to get involved in raising the profile of the Court of Protection offering through relevant business development and community engagement.

Who we’re looking for
* Court of Protection Solicitor from NQ up to around 5 PQE
* Previous experience in Court of Protection, or transferable experience from private client, personal injury or clinical negligence with a vulnerable client focus
* Experience handling sensitive matters involving vulnerable individuals
* Background exposure to work connected to social services, health or local authority settings (Desired)
* Strong emotional intelligence and discretion
* Comfortable working independently while knowing when to seek support
* Genuine passion for Court of Protection work
What you’ll be doing
* Taking over and managing an existing Court of Protection caseload
* Handling a broad range of matters including property & affairs and related applications
* Working closely with senior lawyers for guidance and collaboration
* Delivering high-quality, empathetic client care to vulnerable clients and their families
* Supporting profile-raising and appropriate BD activity within the Court of Protection space
* Working as part of a close-knit, specialist team based in one central office
