Main duties of the job
* Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care for patients in acute and locked rehabilitation settings.
* Lead clinical care for up to 16 beds on Rowan 2, our female acute mental health ward.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide person-centred care.
* Build therapeutic relationships with patients and carers.
* Supervise and appraise junior medical staff, ensuring GMC standards and compliance.
* Participate in service planning, business development, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Engage in annual appraisal, job planning, and CPD activities.
* Maintain professional registration, Section 12 approval, and Approved Clinician status.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
* MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
* MRCPsych OR MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Desirable
* Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
* Additional clinical qualifications.
Eligibility
Essential
* Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
* Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
* Approved under S12 OR able to achieve with 3 months of appointment
Desirable
* In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice
* Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.
