We have an excellent opportunity for support workers to work alongside our client in Cwmbran, Monmouthshire.
Our client is a female in her 60s who has complex needs due to spinal injury, including manual handling, continence care, hypersensitivity to touch, neuropathic pain in the lower half of her body, memory issues, and difficulty with emotional regulation, anxiety, and depression. She lives in her own home (an adapted bungalow), enjoys audiobooks, her garden, and creative writing. She's also interested in learning archery and engaging more in her local community.
Due to the client’s support needs, the successful candidate can be either female or male, must have some experience working with complex needs, ideally in mental health support, and possess the softer skills of being a clear communicator with the motivation and ability to engage the client to build a supportive relationship. Living as independently as possible is very important to our client, so experience helping people grow and maintain this independence is also key.
Hours: 48 per week over five days (08:00 - 20:00 with sleep-in shifts)
