Sales Manager

The Growth Company (GC) is seeking an experienced and results driven Sales Manager to lead a team of Employer Engagement Consultants, ensuring the successful achievement of performance targets.

This role focuses on maximising job outcomes for individuals, meeting employer recruitment and training needs, and delivering high-quality, compliant services that meet stakeholder expectations.

A core part of this role will include supporting individuals on the Restart Scheme and CFO Evolution contracts, helping participants progress into sustainable employment through strong employer partnerships and tailored recruitment solutions. You will create a high-performing, sales-focused environment, driving both candidate outcomes and employer engagement across Doncaster, Rotherham, Mansfield and Worksop.

Please note this role requires regular travel across South Yorkshire. It is therefore essential that you hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage a team of Employer Engagement Consultants to successfully deliver agreed performance targets and outcomes.
2. Maximise the placement and sustainment of individuals into employment, including both temporary and permanent roles.
3. Support the successful delivery of employment outcomes for participants on the Restart Scheme and CFO Evolution contracts.
4. Develop strong employer relationships to generate suitable vacancies and meet recruitment and training needs.
5. Create and maintain a sales-driven, results-focused culture across the team.
6. Generate and manage large employer accounts to support ongoing recruitment activity.
7. Utilise social media and innovative sourcing methods to drive candidate engagement and opportunity generation.
8. Manage programme budgets where applicable, including income targets, cost control, staff productivity and margins.
9. Oversee data integrity, ensuring adherence to employment law, data security and compliance standards.

About You

10. A confident and resilient leader with experience managing Employer Engagement or sales teams in a target-driven environment.
11. Experience working with Welfare to Work or Employability Sectors.
12. Commercially aware, with a strong understanding of recruitment, sales and employer engagement.
13. Passionate about supporting individuals, particularly those on programmes such as Restart and CFO Evolution, into sustainable employment.
14. Comfortable working under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of performance and compliance.
15. A proactive problem-solver with strong initiative and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
16. A collaborative team player who contributes effectively to wider management objectives.
17. Committed to embedding Growth Company values in day-to-day delivery.

Skills Required

18. Strong leadership and people management capability.
19. Background in Recruitment, Business Development, Sales or Employer Engagement environments.
20. Proven ability to work to and exceed challenging KPIs and targets.
21. Strong IT skills, including use of MI systems and data analysis tools.
22. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
23. Ability to prioritise, remain flexible and work under pressure in a performance-driven environment.
24. Strong understanding of the employment sector and local labour market.
25. Awareness of employability programmes such as Restart Scheme and CFO Evolution, including outcome-based delivery models.
