We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and motivated Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Barnet, starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for a Key Stage 2 teacher who enjoys teaching lower KS2 and is passionate about supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.

As a Year 3 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the curriculum, ensuring pupils consolidate their learning from Key Stage 1 while developing independence, resilience, and key skills to succeed in upper KS2.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 3 curriculum
* Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress accurately
* Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEN and EAL
* Promote positive behaviour, independence, and high expectations
* Create a structured, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
* Contribute to planning sessions, staff meetings, and school initiatives
* Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
* Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
* Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Have recent experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 3
* Be confident delivering the KS2 curriculum
* Have strong classroom management, organisational, and planning skills
* Be reflective, enthusiastic, and pupil-focused
* Be a positive team player with excellent communication skills
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
