What You Will be Doing
As a Payroll Apprentice, you will learn how to:
* Use professional payroll software to process weekly, monthly, and quarterly payrolls
* Manage starters and leavers for clients
* Process statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, and SPP
* Handle payroll year-end tasks including P60s
* Administer auto-enrolment and workplace pensions
* Support clients with exceptional service and clear communication
* Carry out general admin and HMRC-related paperwork
* Learn how payroll integrates with real business operations
You'll spend part of your week studying (typically one day), and the rest gaining practical experience with our expert team.
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Qualifications/Skills
* 6 GCSEs at grade 5 or above (including Maths & English)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent customer service mindset
* Good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office
* Well-organised, self-motivated, and detail-focused
* A full UK driving licence
