Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
Working closely with the Service Leader and Advanced Support Worker Team, you will be responsible for supporting a vulnerable lady in her day to day life. The lady we support is unique, so the support you provide will be person-centred and will focus on helping her achieve the best life possible.
Our Shifts: 10:00–22:00 | 07:30–10:00 | 22:00 - 07:30 (Sleepovers) - In general, the person on from 10:00 - 22:00 will also work the sleepover at the end of that day
Shift Requirement: We are currently recruiting for day and sleepover cover
Contract: Bank contract
UK Driving License Required? No
What You'll Be Doing You’ll be supporting an amazing lady to live her daily life in the way she wants to live it. This means you will provide support in a wide variety of ways, including:
Supporting with personal careMedication Administration (PEG)Home management, including support with cooking, cleaning, shopping and budget managementDaily activities - anything and everything the people we support like to do is something you might provide support with! So come ready and willing to enjoy watching cat videos, shopping, exploring new places and going to the parkMentoring and guiding team members to uphold best practicesContributing to support planning and service developmentBuilding strong relationships with families and professionalsEncouraging community engagement and meaningful activitiesUndertaking training to provide person-centred support, including PBS, Makaton, PECS and PEG feedingNote
Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act
