To provide all of the waste and sharps collection tasks in a busy community hospital. This will include collections from outer buildings at FNCH. To ensure all waste is disposed of in the correct waste stream to ensure compliance. This is a physically demanding role and the successful applicant will be responsible for collection of full linen cages/waste bins and sharps waste to the waste yard. Cleaning tasks will be included for the bins and also the waste yard. The successful applicant will be responsible for using the waste compacter and reporting any faults to the Supervisory team.
Must be flexible and previous experience is desirable but not essential.
Must be physically able to undertake all aspects of the role.

To undertake all the waste collection and management duties within a busy community hospital.
Must be able to communicate with all wards and departments. Taking responsibility for the securing of the external waste areas when not in the area.
The shift is Monday to Friday 08:00 - 14:30 Contracted for 30 hours. This includes a 30 minute break.
The individual will be responsible for ensuring that cleanliness standards are maintained in the area that they are working to national standards of cleanliness. That all work schedules are adhered to All cleaning equipment is used in accordance with the instructions and faults reported.
The successful candidate will be supported by the Management team. A comprehensive training package will be provided, and other elements of training will be discussed through the appraisal process.
