Sales & Estimating Surveyor – Industrial Roofing & Refurbishment
(The role where your hard hat meets your calculator)
Our client is an industrial roofing refurbishment company with big plans for the next five years — and they want you on board!
From warehouses to factories to full-blown industrial complexes, they keep the UK’s roofs in tip-top shape. Whether it’s new builds, refurbishments, repairs, or ongoing maintenance, they’re the people clients call when they want the job done right.
Now, they’re looking for an experienced Sales & Estimating Surveyor who loves a challenge, thrives on variety, and isn’t afraid to swap the desk for a site visit.
The Perks
*
Salary: Up to £55,000 per year
*
Bonus perk: Company car
*
Schedule: Monday to Friday (your weekends are yours)
*
Location: Office-based with regular site visits across the UK
*
Requirements: UK work authorisation, ideally 1+ year estimating experience
What You’ll Be Doing
Think of yourself as part detective, part number-cruncher, part relationship-builder:
*
Visiting client sites to assess what’s needed (yes, you get to wear a hi-vis).
*
Preparing accurate estimates and quotes using their in-house magic (OK, it’s an estimating system — but it feels like magic when you get it spot on).
*
Reviewing drawings and bid specs to make sure nothing’s missed.
*
Pulling together winning tender responses.
*
Helping grow the business through a proactive sales plan.
*
Working closely with their Contracts and Project Managers to bring projects to life.
This role isn’t for someone who likes sitting still — there’s travel involved, and you’ll be the friendly face of our client for their customers.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll fit right in if you:
*
Like to plan ahead and keep things organised.
*
Communicate clearly, confidently, and with a smile.
*
Can balance being businesslike with being approachable.
*
Have solid estimating experience (bonus points if it’s in commercial and industrial roofing refurbishment).
They usually work on projects valued between £150k and £1m, but if you’ve also estimated for cladding, solar panels, safety netting, demolition, groundworks, asbestos removal, steelwork, or similar, they’d love to hear about it.
Experience with a small/medium roofing contractor or Main Contractor is ideal. Professional qualifications are great — but passion, experience, and a good attitude are even better.
Ready to bring your estimating skills and your personality to a company where both matter?
