Science Teacher – Darlington
Full-Time | September 2025 Start | Fixed Term (September–April) | £170–£250 per day (dependent on experience)
A secondary school in Darlington is seeking a strong Science Teacher to join their team from September on a full-time basis. This fixed-term role will run through to April, covering a planned staff absence.
The school is looking for a confident subject specialist who can deliver engaging lessons across all sciences at KS3 and preferably KS4, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and strong progress in the classroom.
The role:
* Teach General Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (subject to timetable)
* Plan and deliver high-quality, curriculum-aligned lessons
* Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
* Work collaboratively with colleagues within the science faculty

What you’ll need:
* UK QTS or equivalent science teaching qualification
* A degree in a science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science)
* Experience teaching in UK secondary schools
* Strong classroom management and effective communication skills
