WGM Engineering Ltd, part of RSK Group has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Designer to join our Technical & Design team on a permanent contract based in Glasgow with Hybrid Working arrangements.

The role of the Designer is to support the production of discipline specific engineering design deliverables for a range of multi-disciplinary engineering projects across Mechanical, Electrical, ICA and Civil disciplines within the Water Industry. You will be involved in the initial concept design and development of projects through to detailed design, commissioning and completion across all business streams as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the design team and produce designs and associated deliverables for a range of Engineering projects.
* Ensure that all design work is completed in compliance with all WGM QA Policies, Procedures and Specifications as necessary.
* Attend sites when required to assist with carrying out surveys and data gathering.
* Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external key contacts in order to maximise efficiencies and identify further opportunities.
* Integrate and perform as key member of a highly efficient, multi-disciplinary design team.
Person Specification
* Subject specific technical knowledge and expertise.
* Commercial awareness of your specialist area of engineering.
* An eye for detail and a methodical work process.
* IT and CAD knowledge.
* Analytical and numeracy skills.
* Creative problem solving ability.
* Effective communication to liaise with team members, clients, contractors and others involved in the design process.
