Job Overview
The Planning service is integral to the delivery of the Council’s growth agenda. The successful candidate will be an essential part of the development management team and will be expected to provide support in the determination of planning and other applications to deliver timely outcomes. You will be expected to accept, validate, register, allocate and publicise planning applications and ensure the submitted fees are correctly calculated. You will scan and index documents to support this process and provide other support services including those related to tree preservation orders, planning appeals, section 106 (legal) agreements and team performance and be expected to deal with first line enquiries from stakeholders.
Qualifications
* ICT skills and a high degree of accuracy
* The ability to read maps and plans
* Experience of dealing with customers and resolving queries
* The ability to prioritise own work and meet deadlines
* The ability to work effectively under pressure
