An exciting opportunity has arisen for anOperationsManager withinour newDerby Drug and Alcohol Service.This is a key leadership role, responsible for supporting the safe,effectiveand high-quality delivery of services across Derby. You will lead operational delivery, support teams to perform at their best, and work closely with partners to improve outcomes for people accessing support.
About the role
As anOperationsManager, you will lead your team, ensuring high standardsof care, safeguardingand service delivery. You will provide strong, visible leadership to your teams, creating a positive,reflectiveand high-performing culture.
You will work closely with senior leaders, clinicaland adminteamsand partners to ensure services are responsive, safeand meeting local need, whilst supporting continuous improvement and innovation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading teams to deliver safe,effectiveand person-centred services
* Supporting staff through development and performance management
* Ensuring compliance with CQC requirements, organisationalpoliciesand clinical guidance
* Overseeing service delivery, riskmanagementand safeguarding processes
* Managing workload, capacityand performance across teams
* Building strong relationships with partners and stakeholders across Derby
* Investigating incidents and complaints and embedding learning
* Promoting trauma-informed and recovery-focused approaches across teams
About you
We are looking for an experienced and motivated leader with a strong background in substance use, healthor social care services. You will be confidentleading teams, managing performance and driving high-quality service delivery in a complex and fast-paced environment.
* Significant experienceworking within substance use or related services
* Experience of managing or supervising staff and supporting team development
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, harmreductionand clinical practice
* Experience of working in partnership and influencing across systems
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships
You will bevalues-driven, committed to improving outcomes and confident in leading teams through change. You will promote a culture of compassion, accountabilityand continuous improvement, helping to ensure people receive high-quality, responsive support.
