Job Title: Food Production Operative
We have 2 shift patterns available:
1. 38.75 hrs per week working 6am - 2.30pm (Mon-Fri)
2. 40 hrs per week working 5.30am - 4.15pm (4 shifts over 5 days between Mon-Fri)
Additional hours may be available, and occasional weekends may be required.
You will work as part of the friendly team in our production kitchen at Rheged, Penrith. The team is responsible for making the pies and sausage rolls famously sold at our sister sites: Gloucester, Cairn Lodge, and Tebay Services.
Your responsibilities include:
* Assisting in all areas of food production according to company standards and recipe specifications.
* Helping with packaging and labelling.
* Maintaining kitchen cleanliness, including pot washing.
* Supporting the Stock Controller with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries, ensuring effective stock rotation.
Previous food production experience is desirable but not essential. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds.
You should be comfortable handling and preparing food, standing for long periods, lifting, and carrying. Other tasks include cleaning and assisting with stock management.
Good teamwork and communication skills are essential, and a willingness to contribute wherever needed is expected.
