Associate Digital Business Analyst
Digital Policing Directorate – West Yorkshire Police
Location: Force Headquarters, Wakefield
Contract Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Hybrid Working |37 hours per week
Salary: £32,247 – £40,893 per annum

Role Summary
Are you passionate about digital innovation and eager to launch or grow your career in business analysis? West Yorkshire Police’s Digital Policing Directorate is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Associate Digital Business Analyst to join our Innovation Team.

This role is ideal for individuals who are curious, analytical, and committed to making a difference through technology. Whether you're just starting out or looking to build on existing experience, we provide a supportive environment with on-the-job training and the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification in business analysis.

What You Will Be Doing
As an Associate Digital Business Analyst, you will work under the guidance of a Lead Business Analyst in:
Supporting the analysis and delivery of digital transformation projects.
Engaging with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and challenges.
Assisting in the development of business cases, process maps, and solution proposals.
Researching tools, techniques, and emerging technologies to inform project delivery.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of services and systems.

What We Are Looking For
A strong interest in digital transformation and innovation.
An understanding of business-customer relationships and stakeholder engagement.
A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
Willingness and ability to work towards industry-recognised business analysis qualifications (fully supported by West Yorkshire Police).
Education to A-level standard (or equivalent) in a relevant subject such as Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively.
Experience in researching and presenting information in a clear, structured format.
Awareness of current and emerging digital technologies and their potential applications.
