This is the job

Are you passionate about shaping the future of digital products and services that impact millions of users?

We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer to drive the design of innovative, customer-centric experiences across both B2B and B2C platforms. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of digital innovation, data-led products, and customer experience - bringing bold ideas to life in a collaborative, insight-driven environment.

As a key member of our growing design team, you’ll lead the creation of intuitive, impactful digital experiences that solve real customer problems and deliver measurable business value across a diverse product landscape.

What will I be doing?
* Lead end-to-end design of digital products and services, from concept through to launch and continuous optimisation.
* Translate user insights and business needs into elegant, scalable design solutions across web and mobile platforms.
* Collaborate closely with product, engineering, data, and commercial teams to align design outcomes with strategic objectives.
* Champion user-centred design principles, ensuring both customer and business needs are balanced throughout the product lifecycle.
* Facilitate workshops, co-creation sessions, and present design concepts to stakeholders with clarity and influence.
* Contribute to and evolve design systems, mentoring other designers and driving design consistency and excellence across experiences.
What do I need?
* Proven experience designing digital products across both B2B and B2C, with the ability to adapt approaches to different user needs and contexts.
* Strong background in digital product design (UI/UX), ideally within platform-based or service-led environments.
* Experience working in cross-functional product teams, with exposure to agile ways of working.
* Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Miro, and Jira, with a portfolio demonstrating both strategic thinking and high-quality execution.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align at all levels.
* Curious, adaptable, and outcome-focused, with a passion for solving complex problems and continuously improving experiences.
Additional information

We’re always looking to recognise and reward our employees for the work they do. As a valued member of The AA team, you’ll have access to a range of benefits including:

* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays + holiday buying scheme
* Worksave pension scheme with up to 7% employer contribution
* Free AA breakdown membership from Day 1 plus 50% discount for family and friends
* Discounts on AA products including car and home insurance
* Employee discount scheme that gives you access to a car salary sacrifice scheme plus great discounts on healthcare, shopping, holidays and more
* Company funded life assurance
* Diverse learning and development opportunities to support you to progress in your career
* Dedicated Employee Assistance Programme and a 24/7 remote GP service for you and your family

We actively seek people from diverse backgrounds to join us and become part of an inclusive company where you can be yourself, be empowered to be your best and feel like you truly belong.
