Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Agency Support Worker to join our team in Abergavenny, providing high-quality support to individuals with complex needs. As a support worker, you will play a vital role in enabling our service users to live fulfilling lives, promoting their independence, and respecting their dignity. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced support worker to make a real difference in the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities
5. Provide person-centred support to service users, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met
6. Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals
7. Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication management
8. Support service users to participate in activities and engage with their community
9. Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
10. Collaborate with other support workers and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care
Required Skills & Experience
11. Minimum 6 months’ experience in a UK-based support worker role, preferably in a similar setting
12. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
14. Basic life support and manual handling training (or willingness to undertake)
15. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo)
