Key Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant:
* Support teachers in planning and delivering dynamic, engaging lessons.
* Provide individual and small group support to students who need extra help.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Promote positive behaviour and encourage active student engagement.
* Support with preparing learning materials and activities.
* Safeguard and supervise children within school, in and out of the classroom.
* Work closely with the class teacher to ensure lessons run smoothly.
Requirements of the Primary Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience in a teaching support role or working with children is desirable.
* A proactive and patient approach to supporting children’s learning.
* Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents and foster positive relationships.
* Passionate about helping children develop confidence and achieve their potential.
* Empathetic, compassionate, and resilient nature.
* Adaptable and quick-thinking, able to respond effectively to diverse classroom situations.
* An enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
