Maintenance Engineer Job Overview
* Performing preventative maintenance routines and condition monitoring of production machinery and facilities as per the maintenance schedules.
* Liaising closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and operations staff in all aspects to ensure efficient, effective and planned reactive maintenance at all times
* Making safety inspections of tools and equipment
* Diagnosing faults and repairing machines in a safe manner to minimise downtime and cost
* Anticipating machine failures and making such changes or recommendations to prevent re-occurrence and to minimise downtime
* Working to improve reliability and productivity of equipment
* Completing written records of all maintenance activities
* Carrying out maintenance tasks diligently and in good time using appropriate methodology
Maintenance Engineer Job Requirements
* Good mechanical and electrical skills.
* Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge, along with PLC, inverter, instrumentation and control experience.
* Knowledge of various mechanical drive arrangements
* UK driving license and have experience in a heavy industrial environment.
* Fabrication skills including welding, plasma cutting and power tools
* Based in a commutable distance of Kentford, Suffolk
Maintenance Engineer Salary & Benefits
* Salary £40,000 - £48,000
* 14:00 - 22:00 Monday to Friday. 40-hour week. Overtime paid at time and a half.
