Position Overview:
J&J MedTech Orthopedics is looking for someone to join the Sports Medicine Commercial Education team and build interactive, engaging learning experiences. The Sales Training Manager at J&J MedTech Orthopedics is responsible for designing, developing, and executing training for the sales organization that aligns with the global learning strategy and supports the US region business needs. The selected learning manager will collaborate with Global Education, Regional Marketing, Sales Leadership, Healthcare Compliance, and other partners to shape and deliver educational programs that elevate sales proficiency in accordance with company policies and strategies.
Responsibilities include:
1. Coordinate Training Initiatives: Collaborate with MedTech Education, US Sales, Regional Marketing, and other leaders to build and implement training plans that support business objectives.
2. People Leadership: Guide, coach, and lead direct reports, fostering professional development and team performance through mentorship.
3. Implement Learning Strategies: Use adult learning principles and facilitation skills in all programs.
4. Facilitate Learning Experiences: Lead live, virtual, and self-guided learning aligned with strategy.
5. Ensure Content Compliance: Keep all content current, approved, and compliant with legal requirements.
6. Teach Clinical Concepts: Facilitate learning of anatomy, procedures, clinical concepts, products, and related business practices.
7. Learning Team Coordination: Support continuity for learners by coordinating with education support team members and Field Sales Trainers.
8. Sales Acumen: Provide training on prospecting, qualification, product positioning, account development, and closing strategies for sports medicine and arthroscopic equipment.
9. Foster Communication: Lead communication and follow-up with attendees and partners to assess and promote learning opportunities.
10. Market Trend Awareness: Stay updated on training trends and use feedback to improve curriculum.
11. Surgeon Engagement: Recruit and develop faculty in key specialties as appropriate.
Qualifications
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree required
Required Skills & Experience:
* At least 5 years of business experience
* At least 3 years of successful sales experience in Sports Medicine with major product platforms
* Project leadership, problem solving, and record-keeping skills
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, both in-person and virtual
* Effective planning, multitasking, and time management
* Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills & Experience:
* Ability to convey value propositions to stakeholders
* Experience in Field Sales Training
* Knowledge of adult learning concepts
* Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and virtual training tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
Other:
This position is based in (or requires relocation to) Raynham, MA, within 30 miles of Providence and Boston, with up to 25% domestic travel.

The base pay range is $100,000 to $172,500, with eligibility for performance bonuses and various employee benefits.
