Procurement Manager Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to work as a Procurement Manager for a high-profile, well-loved brand within the Telecom sector. As a Procurement Manager, you will take ownership of various sub-categories within the client's key delivery areas, including Acquisition, Design, Engineering, and Construction, along with managing the associated company spend and supplier base.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and actively contribute to health and safety, environmental, business continuity, and information security arrangements that meet our obligations to customers.
* Lead the development and execution of clear, compelling sub-category strategies aligned with the company's strategic objectives. Understand the value chain and challenge materials, specifications, and sources of supply to deliver value improvements.
* Plan and conduct negotiations for tenders and ad-hoc activities to ensure the business obtains the best value for money.
* Lead sourcing activities, manage complex projects, and facilitate cross-functional planning and action.
* Organize supplier event days and other forums to develop and engage with the supply base for performance improvement.
* Ensure suppliers have the necessary capabilities and capacity, following corporate evaluation and onboarding processes.
* Report on cost reduction, removal, and avoidance initiatives.
* Work with internal teams to establish contingencies for critical items, including alternate suppliers and business continuity plans.
* Support the business during inbound supply issues by escalating supplier management issues and implementing mitigation actions.
* Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure procurement governance and effective post-award relationship management.
Required Skills:
* Experience in delivering change and improvements across partnerships and organizational boundaries.
* Ability to design, develop, and manage category sourcing strategies, operational models, processes, and governance structures.
* Strong planning, prioritization, and delivery skills within deadlines.
* Experience in managing stakeholder relationships.
* Minimum 7+ years of relevant procurement or supply chain experience.
* Hands-on category management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Experience with RFP/sourcing event management.
* Complex problem-solving skills and the ability to influence others in resolving issues.
