The opportunity: We are seeking a Paralegal to join our highly-regarded Intellectual Property team at Baker McKenzie, Belfast. The successful candidate will support the Firm's IP practice, handling IP prosecution, maintenance, and transactional work in a deadline-driven environment. You will work on global IP portfolios, requiring a broad understanding of different international requirements, and coordinate effectively with teams and clients worldwide.

Main Responsibilities
* Support global IP practice, managing trade mark formalities, including registration, prosecution, and renewal processes.
* Prepare client reports independently.
* Assist with IP M&A activities, including recordal of assignments and licenses, liaising with local counsel, and drafting legal documents.
* Conduct IP asset due diligence using official registries and databases.
* Support anti-counterfeiting initiatives, including drafting guides and liaising with infringers.
* Perform trade mark searches and monitoring services.
* Maintain compliance with firm procedures and standards, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Essential Criteria
* Relevant undergraduate degree, 2.1 or above preferred.
* Legal background with IP or trade mark experience (preferred).
* Authorization to work in the UK.
Desirable Criteria
* CITMA qualification (advantageous).
