* Week 1: Monday 7.30-6.30, Wednesday 7.30-6.30, Saturday 7.30-6.30, Sunday 7.30-6.30
* Week 2: Tuesday 7.30-6.30, Wednesday 7.30-6.30, Thursday 7.30-6.30, Friday 7.30-6.30
A day in the life:
You will become an integral part of our residents’ home through daily interaction, not just at mealtimes but throughout your working day. Our aim is to ensure the wonderful world of food is available to all, including those with eating, drinking, and swallowing difficulties. The social aspect of dining and the nutritious content of meals are fundamental to the health and wellbeing of residents in our care settings.
As Cook Manager, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen and catering staff, including preparing, cooking, and serving food to our residents.
The onsite care team will provide you with essential requirements of residents using a detailed catering handover sheet to ensure a collaborative approach to person-centred care.
Our central team will support you in managing food safety, health and safety, and food allergens, while our dedicated menu, promotions, and compliance teams will provide you with menu cycles, nutritional information, IDDSI menus, and promotional posters, allowing you to focus on food preparation.
Our electronic tablet will give you access to our kitchen management system and serve as a communication tool, providing regular updates and minimizing paperwork.
What are we looking for from you?
You should have previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment with an organized approach, alongside a good understanding of the food industry and knowledge of textured modified diets (IDDSI), and experience working within a set budget.
A passion for delivering excellent customer service is essential, along with strong communication skills and an adaptable approach to work.
