What can you expect in this role?
1. Have in depth capacity to interpret policies, procedures rules and regulations and assist staff with their comprehension of these.
2. Review and ensure compliance with all local legal requirements including registration, taxes and local labour laws.
3. Identify potential areas of compliance exposure/vulnerability and assist in the development of corrective action plans for the resolution of problematic issues.
4. Stay abreast of donor policies, procedures, rules and regulations and country legal requirements and inform compliance manager of any significant changes.
5. Perform internal reviews in all EGPAF offices and transactions ensuring compliance and adherence with Foundation and donor requirements.
6. Conduct on-site financial compliance review including thorough reviews on financial statement, accounts receivables including employee’s receivables, segregation of duties, documentation storage and retention.
7. Conduct random surprise checks and vendor verification reviews in all offices to ensure proper procurement procedures are being practiced and report of findings.
8. Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk: assist with the development of corrective action plans for the resolution of problematic issues: and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar issues in future.
9. Develop and facilitate effective compliance and ethics training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers.
10. Assist with improving the awareness and understanding of compliance to assist employees with the establishment of a culture of compliance in each sub office.
To be successful, you will have:
11. Advance University graduate in relevant field of study(such as Accounting or Business) with at least 3 years’ experience OR bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance Management and Auditing with at least 3 years’ experience in audit. Previous auditing experience is highly desirable.
12. CPA’s will be preferred

15. In depth knowledge of USG regulations, systems and procedures for managing complex grants programs with several partners.
16. Experience in managing donor funds and working in an International non-profit-governmental organization (NGO) preferred.
17. Knowledge of sub grants management will be an added advantage
