Email Creative & Designer - Contract
Agency - Tobacco Client
London - Remote
£300-£400 per day - Outside IR35
We're partnering with a leading digital agency that supports a global tobacco brand, specifically across their non‑combustible product range (including vapes and similar reduced‑harm products). They are looking for an experienced Email Creative & Designer who can join on a 6‑month contract (Outside IR35) and deliver high‑quality email designs end‑to‑end.
This is a fast‑paced environment, so they need someone who can hit the ground running, bring creative expertise, and work autonomously with minimal direction.
Role & Responsibilities
* Design visually engaging and brand‑aligned email creatives for CRM and lifecycle campaigns
* Translate briefs from strategy and account teams into polished, high‑converting email designs
* Build modular design templates that support ongoing email production
* Ensure all designs follow brand guidelines, legal requirements, and product‑specific restrictions
* Collaborate closely with copywriters, CRM specialists, and project managers to deliver campaigns efficiently
* Provide creative input to enhance user engagement, retention, and overall campaign performance
* Work with existing design systems and propose creative improvements where appropriate
* Ensure all assets are optimised for major email clients and devices
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as an Email Designer / Creative in an agency or fast‑paced digital environment
* Strong portfolio demonstrating high‑quality email design work
* Expert in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar
* In‑depth understanding of email design best practices, responsive layouts, and user experience in CRM journeys
* Ability to interpret creative briefs and deliver assets quickly and accurately
* Experience working with regulated industries (e.g. FMCG, pharma, alcohol, or tobacco) is highly desirable
* Comfortable working autonomously and delivering production‑ready assets with minimal oversight
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines concurrently
