The Outpatient Administration team work in collaboration with the Referral and Booking Service, Outpatient Nursing, Switchboard, Phlebotomy and the Robotic Process Automation teams. Together we form the Outpatient Clinical Service Unit. The Outpatient Administration team are based across five sites Leeds General Infirmary, Chapel Allerton Hospital, Seacroft Hospital, Wharfedale Hospital and St James University Hospital; and two Community Diagnostic Centres at Beeston and Armley. The Outpatient Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of a team of Clerical Officers, who provide administration support and front facing customer service to various Outpatient clinics. This role is based at Chapel Allerton Hospital and includes direct line management such as leading team meetings; organising one to one meetings; absence recording; appraisals and general health and wellbeing support. The Outpatient Supervisor supports the organisation of Outpatient clinics which includes workload allocation, organising rotas and ensuring Key Performance Indicators are achieved.The main attributes we are looking for are enthusiasm, motivation, professionalism, consistency and flexibility. What you will bring to the role

* Experience of working in an office environment, with a sound understanding of office-based procedures, systems and administrative processes.
* A good standard of education demonstrating clear communication and the ability to work accurately with numerical information.
* Willingness to undertake training and ongoing development necessary to fulfil the responsibilities of the post and support service delivery.
* A fair, honest and consistent approach and an ability to ensure all staff and patients are treated with respect, equity and transparency.
* Diplomacy, selfmotivation and enthusiasm, with a consistently professional attitude, demonstrating appropriate behaviour and effective communication skills when dealing with staff, patients and the public.
* An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with patients, visitors and colleagues demonstrating empathy and an understanding of confidentiality and diverse needs.
* A commitment to being a strong team player with a flexible approach to support service delivery and team objectives.
* Basic computer literacy and keyboard skills, with a willingness to develop IT skills and adapt to new systems and processes in line with service requirements.
* It is desirable that applicants have an understanding of any Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT) policies relevant to the role.
* It is desirable that applicants have experience of using the Trust’s Patient Administration System, but training will be provided as required.
